This will probably sound weird to you...

but when I was a child I was always envious of the alter boys because they were responsible for handling all of the priest's beautiful vestments. I wanted to touch then in the worst way. (Honestly, I want to play dress up with them but don't tell anyone. I'm sure it's a mortal sin!)

So I was very intrigued to learn about the history of kimonos. Did you know that Chiso Kimono company has been in business for 466 years? That a Kimono takes 3 months to make? They only produce 25 a year? That the techniques used are very similar to those hundreds of years ago. Can you image? Talk about a dying art! Click HERE or the Pics below for the rest of the story.

Well, I know these aren't made from kimono's but they're kind of related. Here are a couple of new designs made from recycled Indian Saris.
