Although I was miserable teaching Math to High School Kids....
It never dawned on me that kids would be more interested in dating, sports, make up and fashion then Geometry. Duh! But my ears always perk up when I hear about new teaching techniques. But first the stupid one.
One school system here in Arizona is implementing a new grading system. It's so ridiculous I won't waste your time. The net is that the F is being replaced with the word Emerging! In an effort to not hurt the Snowflakes feelings.
Now on to the brilliant. A Ukrainian Minister of Education recommended a World History text book that not only contained historical facts but asked students to find the mysterious anomalies.
The idea is to not only verify what is true but making a game of it to see who can find all the discrepancies. Who says History can't be fun?
