When I first saw it I just thought it was creative but little did I know....
One of my favorite places to visit in Arizona besides the Grand Canyon is Quartzsite. Huh? Yes, Quartzsite besides being a major RV destination in the winter it has the best wholesale bead and gem shops. I can just hear Hubby now. Why is it always beads? Duh? But this missive has nothing to do with beads.
The first time I visited Gem World, I saw this great looking Camel made out of tons of auto parts. Creative right?
I later learned that this Beauty is named Georgette. Sweet name right? Other's call her The Red Ghost of Quartzsite. Hmm, thanks to Atlas Obscura I learned the not so sweet story. HERE.
Who even knew there was such a thing as the U.S. Camel Corp.? Let alone a mad, raging Camel with a corpse attached?
So with this in mind, I thought I would treat you to 50 of the most iconic landmarks by State. HERE. I still don't know how Ohio got the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame???
Getting ready for Hidden in the Hills in Nov. and the Holidays, I made the following: (Click Pic for Details)
