My Lousy Luck!!!

My Lousy Luck!!!

My Lousy Luck!!!

Last week my brother and I were commiserating about our lack of good luck...

Although this is not an original saying, my Dad would say if  The Tenwalde's didn't have bad luck they wouldn't have any luck at all. My brother borrowed a pick up truck to take some junk to the dump. When he got there he tossed the keys into the truck and shut the door. After unloading he went to open the door and the truck was locked. He's all alone at the dump as it was freezing cold and snowing and his cell phone is locked in the truck. I won't bore you with the rest but you get the picture. Sadly, we just shake our heads as we have scores of these stories.

So since it's the Holiday Season, I'll give you my funny twist on my luck. Saturday I went to the first of 3 White Elephant Gift Exchanges. We drew numbers and I draw #1 (the worst possible draw!) So I think I'm being cleaver so I select a gift that is wrapped in the same paper as my gift plus it was in a really big box. Here is my gift.

Carol, that's a cute calendar. True, but I'm not an animal lover and all the ladies there know it. They thought this was hysterical and none of the 20 gals would steal it from me. HA! HA!

Last night I went to my second White Elephant. This time I a draw #2 (the second worst draw!)  The first person draws my gift so I have no choice but to open a gift. Here is my gift.

At least it wasn't another calendar but what's with this animal thingy? Needless to say, this trivia game came home with me.  I'm seriously thinking about not going to White Elephant # 3 tonight! Happy Holidays!!!
