I am searching fashion websites for the latest fashion craze and came across the newest in repurposed, sustainable fashions. The MILK Dress. What? According to Mademoiselle Chi Chi, a high end fashion designer, wearing Milk is the Bomb! I couldn't just take this sitting down so I did a bit of research.
It turns out that Milk fabric is not new at all. It's been around since the 1930s and was commissioned by Mussolini himself. Mussolini wanted Italy to distinguish itself and Italians were encouraged to dress Italian. After WWI Italy was impoverished and had very little natural resources but like many countries they were wasting billions of gallons of milk and that is the Mother's Milk of Lanital or Milk Fabric. You can click on the image below to learn more about the making of Milk Fabric.

But milk fabric was short lived because it had one very serious drawback. It smelled like sour milk when it got wet. Oops!
So in 2011, when all old things and ideas become new again a German Company Qmilch was founded. Q for Quality and Milch is the German word for Milk. A single dress costs between $200 and $230 and is made from six liters of milk.

Cute? Tell me what you think.
Here is what I have been working on. Not made from milk but kind of reminds me of milk.
