Who could forget Mel Blanc?
Mel Blanc, the Man of a Thousand Voices, who gave his heart and soul to many beloved cartoon characters. During the Golden Age of American Animation, he voiced such icons as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Woody Woodpecker and so many more, as well as several Hanna-Barbera characters in the later years of television. Today, he is considered one of the greatest and most influential voice actors in history. Mel died in 1989 at the age of 81 and per his instruction is buried at Hollywood's Forever Cemetery with the the tombstone epitaph - That's All Folks!
Although this is a touching story, it did bring me a bit of sadness thinking about my Dad. Granted my Dad wasn't famous but my brother and I wanted to put his favorite expression on his tombstone. "Hey, I wasn't done talking." Unfortunately the Catholic Church didn't see the humor in it and said "NO".
