Turning A Sow's Ear into a Silk Purse!

I hope you will think of this email the next time you say, "That's Impossible!"

Last week I shared a booth next to a very unusual but interesting person and she made a comment from which I thought we could all benefit. Apparently, she was very sickly as a  child and had difficulty doing the simplest of tasks. Thus she used the word impossible a lot. To which her Grandmother would shout Impossible is I'm Possible. I love this and so when I stumbled on this article about turning MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) into Haute Cuisine. I had to bite. (Ha!)  Here's the story:

A photographer, a videographer and a chef whose dad served in the military walked into a bar. I know this sounds like a joke but it isn't. By the end of the evening the three of them decided to transform MREs into high cuisine and document the results. Just so you know Soldiers call MRE"s Meals Rejected by Everyone! Doesn't this qualify for Impossible?

You can read the full story HERE but I wanted to tease you with these photos:

We start with MRE's

I love the plastic bag garnish in the last photo.

How did it all taste? “Basically, all that stuff tastes like dog food,” the chef said.

In keeping with bland but beautiful I made some black and white pieces! Notice the third pic, I married one and two together. Christmas Sale is going on 25% off with Code: XMAS25
