What it takes to be an "ONLY"?

Carol Tenwalde

The making and keeping of traditions...

last week I talked about my folks love of dancing and how it was passed down to all of us. If you missed it you can catch it HERE. So needless to say I was blown away when I saw this story of Guorui Chen a 33 year old Rice Sculpture Artist. So you're probably thinking of making figures out of mounds of cooked rice. Oh NO Bucko!  See below:

Can you image? Talk about patience!!! You can read how this ancient art died out and was ultimately resurrected in 2015 by Chen HERE.  Just look at these beauties!

Took a month to make.

The rooster is by far my proudest work. “I’m like a human 3D printer, envisioning the shapes in my head and then trying to put the pieces together,” Chen says.

My conclusion: I will never complain about seed beads again!

This beauty sold last week so I made another. Like? Click Pic for more info.

Let's chat soon,

Carol
